Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

a 2008 Fuji Road Bike Newest 4.0
That's her first Road Bike....i told her if she likes it, as much as I do, I'll upgrade to something better. Its blue and white.

Very Beautiful bike, shimano components, I dont know what shimano components, i just know it says Shimano, with no name or number. Unlike my Cannondale that's got 105's all around.

Shimano Ultegra R670 pedals. I'd been using some ancient SPD-R Ultegra pedals, so these were a nice upgrade. Easier to adjust and clip in/out of.

This SKS fender because of all the wet weather we've been having. Once it gets above 25 and the wind slows below 25mph, maybe I will get to ride again.

Thumbs up on this one. I've been riding with this one on rainy days for a year and I have no complaints whatsoever. Blocks the spray perfectly.

Got the pictured Vitus waterbottle from the very bottom of my LBS's waterbottle bin yesterday afternoon to top off my "Tout French" Vitus Carbone winter restoration project. I couldn't believe my luck finding this single NOS Vitus waterbottle after actually thinking about trying to find one a couple of weeks ago and thinking that I shouldn't bother because most likely there are none to be found anywhere after the Vitus brand has pretty much close to dissapeared from the industry.
It tops off a quite extensive and expensive build up for the bike (change over from DA 7400 group to Mavic/Spidel/Stronglight) and what makes this last purchase for it great, it's pretty much the cheapest (at 5 bucks) but least expected find for the bike!

Only waiting for a right side BB lockring that a seller left off from his delivery to get it on the road!

I've been using the Quest shoes since early last year (I got them for a steal at the PI outlet store). Granted they are no sidi's but I love mine. Just a solid shoe w/ really good ventilation.

KCNC 11 seatpost collar in silver. My supplier hooks me up on the cheap, but he didnt have the road version (9), so I went with the MTB version. At 10g, about as light as it gets without going carbon. I am contemplating replacing some bolts, but that will wait awhile, as I need a better light first and I gotta save up!
