Just Sayin' :D

You know, it doesn't do his image any good to be hawking these "Take this and you won't be tired" pills on the internet, either.

Busta Quad 02-11-09 07:19 PM

"may raise a man's risk" != "definitive proof"

bbllaakke 02-11-09 07:22 PM

Michael Phelps steroids.

If Phelps had done steroids it would have been at a frat party where there were cameras.

Cancer isn't a joke. In case the OP doesn't get it.

Phelps has a different pot dealer in every city he spends time in. I kinda heard about his smoking back in May or June at least. I never thought it was a secret.

tkm 02-11-09 08:27 PM

neurocycler, you're an idiot for posting this thread.

When folks attack Lance for suspected doping, that's one thing--but even suggesting anything about cancer should be off-limits (even jokingly).

Again, you're an idiot.

rdclimbr 02-11-09 08:29 PM

OP: this thread that you've created is definitive proof that youre actually a moron. like somebody else said.... prick

neurocycler 02-11-09 08:47 PM

Wow, didn't realize I'd offend so many people. Perhaps another way of thinking about it is that as soon as you lose your sense of humour about it, cancer has won. My girlfriend, mother and best friend have all suffered from cancer, we have all had a good laugh about life and death, chemo and recovery, hell I've raised a few thousand dollars for cancer research. But I guess that's the internet for you...

StephenH 02-11-09 08:50 PM

On the bright side, you've rousted out some LA supporters, when I thought everyone here hated him.

I actually like the guy...

....still think you're an idiot

keisatsu 02-11-09 09:02 PM

geez, my mother died of cancer, and while I don't find this post funny, it doesn't bother me.

calm down people, it's only the internets for christs sake!

+1 Add my father and younger brother to the list. You gotta be able to joke about it though this thread started with a real lame effort. Just saying...

It took a minute, but I get the joke. Can someone photoshop Lance with dreds and a big fat doobie?

edited to add: does anyone else find it annoying that cyclists are "dopers" while other athletes just use "performance enhancing substances"

KrisPistofferson 02-11-09 09:58 PM

The Olsen Twins were proof enough for me. He will obviously do anything once.

tkm 02-11-09 10:00 PM

If you joke with your family, that's one thing. However, to suggest it be funny for someone that you don't know is an entirely different situation.

Obviously you can't distinguish the difference between the two. While I might share a smile about something like this with a loved one, I would never, for one minute, do the same for anyone outside of my immediate circle. Think about it for a minute before you continue with this tasteless posting.

Randochap 02-11-09 10:11 PM

I'm a two time cancer survivor.

It wasn't a thigh slapper, but I found it mildly amusing.

If it helps, I'm a diabetic, feel free to throw sugar cubes at me...
