I know little to nothing about the standard. Are the bb bearing kits interchangeable with different cranksets? Like will an FSA or SRAM crankset work with a cannondale bearings or do they all need their own?

BB30 is a crankset standard. You can run a crank and bearings from any manufacturer as long as they meet the BB30 standard. Obviously, these parts will only work with a frame that has the oversized BB30 bottom bracket.

The only issue I could see is the spacing. Each crankset might need different spacers, though the bearings should be the same. There is a diagram on FSA's Web site that shows how it works and it looks very similar to how my Six-13 and System-6 operate though with a different number of spacers.

The BB30 standard is a spec on the size of the BB shell in the frame. It has nothing to do with the crank or BB, other than enabling a BB axle "up to" 30 mm in diameter.

Since the point of the exercise is to use a super wide diameter (i.e. 30 mm), most BB/crank manufacturers will use a BB axle about that diameter. They don't have to though.

However, there is *no* standard for BB30 BB axles or crankarm/BB junction points. I highly doubt that there will be any interchangeability between brands of cranks/BBs.

Since cartridge type bearings have no adjustability, it's normal to use thin spacers/shims to properly space the bearings on the axle
