Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Whats the funny PVC sticker in my shoe pack?

Just got a Scott road shoe and it has 2 PVC thingies with instructions to remove in sole and place the stickers on the midsole. Any idea what these are for?

Bikes: Too many

Don't know specifically for your shoes, but I've generally seen that those stickies are to build up additional arch support.

Bikes: Specialized.... schwinn..... enough to fill my needs..

are they the thick ones of about 1/8"? Some items like those will carry those anti theft sticky things that are about 1 1/2" in length or so.... don't know what they call them though. I'm guessing this is what your talking about?

My Shimano shoes claim that this sticker is to prevent water from entering the shoe through the cleat-attachment area...

The stickers are Load Bearing Decals - you should follow the instructions CAREFULLY.
