Hammer Bib Question?

Hammer Bib Question?
Has anyone tried the new bibs since they changed from ionSL pad to the new Torino Pad? Any help would be nice. I know there are several threads on hammer but have not found one since the change of padding. thanks

Hmm - they've only been available for ~1mo and it's still winter. I'm guessing you might need to wait a little longer to get decent feedback, or be the BF guinea pig. I have the old ones, and found them pretty good.

I think i am going to give them a try. This will be my first bib buy. Just concerned with the pad change. Everyone seems to like the old pad. The women at Hammer said that it was not a big change at all , but she is a sales women.

Didnt they switch to Bipemme this year? If so maybe you should ask about Bipemme bibs/shorts. I have a pair of Bipemme shorts and they are nothing to write home about. I use them for short road rides and for cross rides and races as I dont care if I never have to use them again.

Here is the thread I made about them.

ZYou are not going to find much info as they were just released and noone has a lot of time on them yet. Your best bet is to find people who used voler bibs with that pad as it is the same except the graphics. Its sad to say but I will no longer be buying the hammer bibs.

Thanks i read your link before in the research, but it stoped short of telling had anyone tried the new bibs. I know people dont like the color most of which will be covered up anyway. I am just trying to see if anyone has had a chance to try the new bibs out? thanks

I have both. Its hard for me to choose a favorite as, both pads are relatively thin and, I am not all that sensitive to differing chamois - for the most part. I guess if I had to make generalizations, then I probably have a slight preference for the Torino on longer rides, and the ION SL on short fast rides. The Torino seems a bit more absorptive, the ION SL a bit lighter and more minimalist. The Torino for events and centuries, the ION for races...I guess. In reality, I pick'em based on other attributes of the bibs and the weather.

Bumping this up, as the older style are my favorites and I want more bibs so looking to get feedback on the newer ones. Also, they appear to be pink on the sides. Is my monitor screwed up or are they really pink? Not that there's anything wrong with that....
Anyway, reviews on the newer style?
