Same here. It didn't come on when it was scheduled either. I wonder if that's the last episode?

I was checking the upcoming epsiodes in my PVR's guide and there's a bunch of episodes this weekend (but I don't know which ones they are) at odd times. Either some of the series hasn't been filmed yet (i.e., final few epsiodes deal with the Tour) or OLN is running reruns to a) get more people interested or b) draw our the series through to August to coincide with the Tour and post-Tour viewership.

Crack'n'fail 06-24-04 02:23 PM

seems like it would have made sense to build it up to the start of the tour and then finish it next thursday. Be honest, once the tour starts, will it really hold your interest as well to watch about what happened at the Dauphine? According to the video promo it's supposed to last 13 weeks, when did it start? Seems like about 6 or 7 weeks ago to me.

kerank 06-24-04 07:01 PM

Looks like a new one is coming on right now.

kerank 06-24-04 07:04 PM

Never mind. I was wrong. It's an old one.

Crack'n'fail 06-24-04 08:04 PM

yep, they showed the last one and the very first one. I guess it's over. Would've been nice to have a more obvious conclusion. I guess when he said it was the time of no room for excuses, that was our cue?

drroebuck 06-25-04 12:48 AM

This show was produced at such an amateurish level that it shouldn't surprise anyone that it ended the way it did.

I appreciate(d) the show and being able to see behind-the-scenes stuff. But the sound mixing was so bad you could barely understand what anyone said. The editing was choppy (because we're all idiots and we'd be bored if they actually held a shot for more than half a second). There was no sense of a storyline. My favorite was in a recent episode where one scene he's training in malibu, and the next he's training with the team in Europe.

55/Rad 06-25-04 12:59 AM

Until tonight, I'd seen it twice. The first show and the last. After tonight, I've still only seen 2 shows. Typical.

I thought so too at the beginning, but the second show yesterday was a summary of all the shows. Next week looks like it will talk about team selection amoung other things.

ahhh, interesting. Would it have been too tough for the producers to name the episodes? how about just numbering them so we could look at the guide and know if we've seen them or not?

Yeah, it's like all the new material they had was an interview with Chris, and they just filled in with pieces from old shows. Uhh, yippie.

dobber 06-25-04 08:39 AM

Noticed that. I kept thinking to myself, I've seen this episode and then Chris would pop in and I go "No, this is different".

Kept sprinting ahead with the DVR and then backing up. So basically they boiled the entire series down to one episode. Whoop, Whoop...........

I may be wrong but it was my understanding that there were supposed to be 13 episodes or something like that to be shown until the tour started. Does anyone else remember? How many were there? Maybe 5?

Yea...
-Sheryl bidding on a behind-the-scenes-look at USPS during the Tour. As if she wasn't already going to get one! I bet the rest of the guys on the team are real excited about the girl friend hanging out with them
- Oh, and I think that Lance Armstrong was in one or two also :D

If Lance sings in next week's episode, we'll know The Lance Chronicles has truly "jumped the shark." :)

That or we have "a very special episode". Or Ted McGinley makes an appearance.

Does anybody believe that Sheryl Crow and Yoko Ono are related?

'let's watch as he walks on water' narration was actually
too much, i couldn't watch the entire recruiting video....
i mean advertisement.... i mean--feature?

ultra-g 06-27-04 08:47 PM

I cancelled my cable to save money for a new bike.

Now I won't get to watch reruns of Lance Chronicles OR the Tour de France!!

Sucks.

My favorite episode was the crazy loony girl who wanted autographs.
