i mean advertisement.... i mean--feature?

I respectively disagree. I don't think we should let OLN's occasional snafus ruin what Lance has accomplished. Sure they are playing him up to be bigger than life but what sport hasn't of their superstars? Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth, Jim Brown, Hank Aaron, etc.

I too, don't care for some of OLN's mediocre presentations but remember that their budget is far less than the big three networks, ESPN, etc. It's no excuse for poor quality but it is a factor.

i know, i know, overall it's made cycling soo much more
accessable --and if they covered most events like they
did the Giro, heck, we'd be complaining about only having
one cycling channel!:)

dude, what has john stockton won? Phil has one major and Jerry Rice is a total jerk! I am not in favor of cockiness but if you have followed Lance since he was an amatuer the attitude should be of little surprise. The battle within is the first contest. You can't see yourself other than a being in a position of the best. I mean, why bother suiting up then?

Overall, I think Lance comes across as a very funny guy in the midst of a crazy life.

yep, caught a preview of Lance riding down the street on one of those folding minibikes proclaiming "lets go, wheres the starting line... i'm ready..." or somesuch.

looked pretty funny. :)

I wonder if they are going to have new episodes during the tour. That might be somewhat more interesting to see what goes on in the team bus... I know last year I always liked the "fillers" when they talked about the equipment and what the riders ate.

Speaking of OLN being "Pro-Lance" is Bob Roll in love with Lance? The guy gets so excited when he says "Lance Armstrong" that he nearly chokes and his folded hands make about 20 of those little circles he does when he commentates.

The simple answer is "yes".

Roll interviewed LA for OLN after the Tour of Georgia and wrapped up the chat with asking Lance, "Who loves you?" Lance looked at Bob, paused and replied, "You?" Big smiles all around. It was a precious moment.

Well boys and girls how'd you like it tonight? Two new programs back-to-back. And, chock full of bicycle stuff. Good programs...what I could hear of them, the music is still too loud and/or the dialogue too low. Guess I'll have to e-mail OLN again with a complaint.

caloso 07-01-04 07:49 PM

Yeah. That trip to the Trek factory was pure bicycle pornography. Sweet.

TXCiclista 07-01-04 09:30 PM

Crap. COMPLETELY forgot :P (Clie was on silent :( ). Anyone know when the re-run for these two new ones will be? With the Tour starting Sat and all...

J-McKech 07-02-04 12:19 AM

Finally 2 worthwhile episodes. None of the this is where I bought this painting and this is where Sheryl left her guitars. Just new equipment, training, racing. Good Stuff. I agree it was very difficult to hear though.
