Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I keep trying to wrap my head around how Lance is anything but good for cycling and the world in general, but it's not happening. As for his reputation for being something of an ahole, what's your point? Everybody here is capable of being an ahole. Most of us don't inspire millions (I inspire dozens on BF, but look at the weenies I inspire and draw your own conclusions).

Go Lance.

Not for nothing, but I do think we need him more than he needs us.

That wasn't my point. My point is that it's obvious that all the non-lancerbators love cancer.

All cyclists are a-holes, so the king of cyclists must be the king of a-holes.

All I know is that when I was watching Full House, I was thinking "someday.....someday."

I think what many people have a problem with is: why can't he try harder to not be an ahole?

I've never really been a Lance fan; always thought the only thing greater than his talent was his ego. However, during the RDU and ToC I watched several interviews with him and he seemed pretty reasonable. Of course, the true test will be if (and it's a big if) he does very well in the Giro and the TdF - will he stay low key? We'll see.

I think that he a great guy. I am new to seeing Lance a pro cyclist though. I read his Twitter often and he seem to be just like anyone else and not entitled, cocky or anything. I have seen some of his older interviews and he does seem to be a little meaner at that time. In the end not many people can say that they do as much good in the world as he can. GO LANCE bring home #8.

I'm not sure why the moderators don't suspend obvious trollers. It's pretty stupid.
