Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mavic Wheels + SRAM 10sp Cassette, Spacers?

I just tried putting a 10sp SRAM cassette on a set of Aksiums, and it wouldn't fit. I know that with Shimano Cassettes on a Mavic wheel, I need the Mavic Spacer + the Shimano Spacer. How about with SRAM does anyone know?

I'm guessing I just need the Mavic spacer, but won't need the additional 1mm spacer, or would I? Shimano includes one in the box, but SRAM doesn't.

My Aksiums came with the spacer and you only need the one that came with the wheels.

Mine either didn't come with the spacer or it was in the box when I threw it out

Go to a Mavic Dealer. They either will have extras you can buy or they can order one for you

Yeah, i'll just go to my local dealer and buy the spacer. It's $2.22 at PBK, but will take a week to get here (it was one of the first hits when I searched for Mavic Spacer). You'd think for $2 they would have included it with the wheels when I bought them a few months ago (also from PBK).
