Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My only complaint is that it's a little hard to wrap. My first time using it (the tape that's still on there) I ended up with some ridges and such. Just didn't conform very well in places.
Getting it to sit flat around the bends take a bit of patience, the first time I wrapped it I was getting pretty frustrated with it.

Fizik microtex is the best tape i've ever used.

I stopped wearing gloves after I started using microtex.

As for re-wrapping, I dunno. I always use new tape after unwrapping old tape.

love my microtex. previously, i have used performance (soft, wore quickly), cinelli (tore when bike was stored in sun), and some used FSA i got with a lot of stuff on craigslist(still using it on my fixed gear, its seen better days though). if the FSA was half the price of the fizik, id use it, but with a discount the microtex only cost me $20 with tax, and i will spend the extra $5 for the good stuff. took longer to wrap, but havent had a problem with it in 4 months.

I also have the salsa bar tape- its cushy. will most likely go on my commuter with moustache bars.

Bontrager tape is the best. Yes, I'm a filthy, filthy Trek shill.

I've used Deda almost exclusively last year... until I decided to try Fizik - their stuff is the best.

The Fizik Microtek on my commuter last around 1.5 years. On my other bikes (main road rig and our tandem) it lasts longer than that! Thsi is the case, mostly because I am always in the hoods on the commuter, and usually without gloves. The tape wore through where my palms go, just behind the hoods.

I don't use anything else, the stuff is great!
