You made an accusation (which was based upon reports, "anonymous sources", and opinion pieces) and backed it up with a Wiki entry. Tell you what, give me your name and about an hour. I'll gladly make a wiki entry about you, including links that have absolutely nothing to do with my entry and blog-like reporting.
Yet somehow I'm either a moron or being obtuse? I READ IT ON THE INTERNETZ, SO IT MUST BE TRUE!1!! :thumb: The facts of the matter are that Landis had artificial testosterone in his samples, had his Tour win stripped from him, copped a two year ban, lost all his appeals and had to pay the USADA a stack of money for their legal fees. Did you miss those finer details somewhere along the line? |

The subject is Landis and the 'accusations' as you call them stand up.

I think Floyd's book talked about a procedure requiring dropping of the pants and raising of the shirt so the tester can verify there are no appliances or storage devices involved in the sample production. I don't know about the brown eye wink.

The French don't want him racing the TdF. They couldn't get him with a positive so they'll try to get him with a technicality. Even if it's a made up technicality. Heck, it's their race let them do what they want.
Since the ASO, AFLD and L'equipe are in collusion over this I think it's proper to refer to them as "The French". |
Amazing that there is an abundance of Frenchmen willing to work as a piss-collector.

The Tour in: 1996 - Mr. 60% Bjarne Riis wins doped 1997 - Telekom doped as a team 1998 - Festina affair, Pantani wins probably doped since he was busted in the next Giro 1999-2005 - no proven cases involving the Tour winner 2006 - Floyd busted 2007 - Rasmussen yanked for whereabouts form; Vinokourov busted 2008 - Saunier Duval-Scott caught with dope yeah, things were just great when Lance left. |

Edit. Here. Happy now?. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news.php?...r07/apr23news3 2) I will "shoot the messenger" when one claims gossip to be fact. That would be like me accusing you of taking steroids but you're the one who has to prove me wrong. 3) Did you read the article that you're using as a source? The whole story is based upon another newspaper (L'Equipe) article. My point is, if you're going to make claims, better be ready to back it up with credible and direct sources. Otherwise, you're spreading gossip, which is completely irresponsible, and you should expect some backlash. Rather than resort to name calling and acting like I took your favorite toy, you could have easily posted court documents or named sources with direct involvement in the investigation. If that were the case and it did prove he had "multiple positives", I would have gladly conceeded your point. |

Armstrong says French may ban him from Tour Associated Press AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Lance Armstrong says he thinks French doping officials may ban him from this year's Tour de France over a report that he violated protocols during a recent drug test. In a video statement released on his Web site, Armstrong said there's a "very high likelihood" he won't be allowed to race for an eighth Tour de France title. The French drug testing agency, known as AFLD, has said it could punish Armstrong for not remaining in sight of the official collecting samples of the cyclist's hair, urine and blood on March 17. Armstrong says he went inside his house to take a shower while his assistants checked the representative's credentials. Armstrong says the tests came back negative. |
If Tour officials use this as a premise to ban Armstrong from the Tdf, Americans should boycott the TV broadcast, Tour de France tourism and Tour merchandise in protest. That's preposterous, particularly considering the samples all tested negative. Le Aholes.
