Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So how many posts would be OK with the BF Patrol here? 20K? 15K? Should we have posting limits?

The next thing you'll tell me is you want to limit my BF compensation to $250K a year. That would be the last straw for me. I'd go start my own Hedge Fund Forum if that ever happened.

This thread has become almost as entertaining as the last time someone started a thread about nothing in the hopes of it reaching 8 pages

In my case it's cycling related, and I am a big Wussy, so it's a Pansy Scheme.

Are you so obtuse to assume that your problems are the only real ones, or is it that you know enough about the person you've directed that statement to that you can make a judgement on current or past problems he may have had?

Anybody who rides a bike can't be all bad. Even MTBs.

how about a sub-forum for ex-bodybuilders with limited intelligence and no sense of humor?

you can even be the mod, seeing as you're an expert on the subject.

Even the "Clean Up the Roadie Forum" stickie ends up like this. How cool is that?

Weekly board meetings at Internet Brands, when they get to the spot where they talk about bikeforums.net:

Should this really be a sticky? I just wasted 10 minutes reading this thing and here's what I conclude...some people like it the way it is, some people want it to change. How many different ways can we post this that it should be a sticky?

More likely internet brands is just soaking up the ad revenue from everyone coming here to squabble.

I disagree. Slashdot, another huge forum that I (and surely others here) frequent, has tons of people clamoring about how good it was in the past when it was a super small forum to discuss the "year of the Linux desktop" and safely ask questions about using Linux and such (when it was a MUCH harder OS to get up and running on the desktop).

Just saying.

Sorry about that. I thought "other forums" meant other sub-forums of Bikeforums.net.

Nothing beats a good sub forum.
