Carbon frames
I just saw all of the listings for carbon frames on ebay earlier today. Looks like they would be a good deal, but I just bought a brand new Fuji Team Pro from Performance built up will Ultegra components and Mavic aksium race wheels and price was great, 50% of list price. So it would have been hard for me to build up a new frame even as cheap as they are on ebay, plus Performance or any other shop will stand by their products with factory-backed warranties.

I actually did purchase one of the ebay carbon frames recently with the same fork you are looking at. There are a number of forums on road**************** and I read them diligently before I decided to purchase my frame. I put a detailed thread with a lot of pics of the frame and fork here -

Here's several other threads about the ebay frames. The general consensus from those that actually purchased and built them up is that they are happyy with the build and quality. There's a lot of naysayers so you'll just have to make the call for yourself.

FYI upon some research and lucky searching I discovered that many if not all of these naked frames are IDENTICAL to Raleigh of South Africa top end models.

Look under previous years as well. So...add paint and you have a Raleigh.

"Fritz, good point about direct imported no-name frames. Keep in mind though that the ones pictured here were from an unnamed but supposedly reputable American bike company, not a fly by night operation."

For what it is worth, my international ebay purchases have had mixed results.
Crankset from Taiwan: original lost in shipment, seller sent replacement, both arrived about 90 days after sale. Sent the second one to his brother in Florida.
Brakeset from Italy: No problems showed up in 2 weeks.
Jersey from Switzerland: Stuck in US Customs in New York for 20 days? Finally showed up.
