Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hey... this gives me hope, this is way hotter than the one I borrowed. Maybe I'll pick up that ebay frame if the guy confirms that it's in mint condition. $1250 for the frameset and stem seems a bit high no?

Mine was more of a laydown hawk, but nonetheless, it was undercut on both sides.

So where have you been riding?

And as for your next bike, keep your pants on. There's nothing worse than an impulsive purchase.

That said, I, too, want a frameset with better power transmission. My entry level road bike/framset is such a piece

I've been riding in the hoods, uncomfortably o at the back of the hoods, and i've been racing in the drops as long as I can handle it . It was the stiffness and powe transfer that eally impessed me. I'm going to keep looking for a system six for a few weeks if I can't find one I'm going to go back to looking at the CAAD9 or S1, I get to test ride them this wednesday. There is also the six 5 but it's only 105.

I'm not jumping to buy it or anything but i found a System Six frame/fork/stem/seat post for $900, it's new been built but supposedly never ridden. The owner doesn't have the warranty card, does that mean that this bike has no warranty/crash replacement?

Just found a System Six in my size and my exact paint with dura ace 7800 ksyrium es's, and SI hollow tech cranks, retails 4700 they're willing to do it for 30% off. I'm going to put a down payment on it probably and then sell the ksyriums. I'm a happy effin' camper right now.
