Clothing question: Castelli vs Campy

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Clothing question: Castelli vs Campy

Need opinions if anyone has experience with either brand's bibs. I needed a replacement pair and tried Craft's Performance level, but the chamois is horrible. I tried a lower level Campy bib short some time back, but found the entry level chamois somewhat disappointing as well. I have a few pro kits from Nalini and Exte Ondo. Both are excellent, but my foray into non-pro bibs has been disappointing at best.

Looking at Castelli Free bib shorts (AC pad) vs Campy's Racing Series bib shorts (ACS pad). Leaning towards Castelli, but can go either way. Anyone have experience with either that can offer any thoughts?

Thanks!

I had a pair of Castelli bibs with the AC Pad. I liked the pad except, if it isn't perfectly sized for you it will move around and be less comfortable. Castelli bib sizing is weird for my body. In a Medium i could barely get them around my legs (i have rather large muscular legs) but they were too long, well all the extra sat at my waist making the bib loose because the bottom of the legs are zipped into place and the top has the straps. If i ever went to a Small i would never get them around my legs but the length would be ok...

Their shirts, jackets, gloves, etc... I LOVE! their craftsmanship and quality is second to only he likes of Assos if you ask me. However i can find end of the year or last year Castelli at amazing prices, not so with Assos.

Thanks Trinity. I'm thinking of maybe picking up the Assos F.I. Mille S5 and playing it safe(r).

I also just picked up a set of DHB from wiggle because of the excellent review "Roadcycling UK" gave them. Haven't ridden in them yet because of my crash and waiting for a new bike (1 more week till i get back from this business trip and i can see my new baby).

BUT they fit like a glove!!! the quality seems great and I THINK i am going to agree with the reviews.
