Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hammertoe, hang in there. I've got the kids out of the house now, so I have more time. Soon they'll be out of college, and then I'll have some money. Then it'll really be fun. Hopefully.

Machka, you mentioned something a while back about having a "big pile of bicycles", and I was curious how much of that was going to Australia with you!

PS: Problem is I have so much clutter going on right now, I don't know when I'll grow up.

You don't think I've got clutter going on??? I'm up to my eyeballs in all the things I'm trying to get rid of and prepare and arrange right now. And I haven't grown up yet ... growing up is overrated.

I have 7 bicycles.

One is in Australia already ... a mtn bike Rowan bought me.
One is going back to my father ... it was his.
Two are being sold (hopefully).
One is coming with me on the plane to Australia.
Two are being shipped and will likely arrive in Australia sometime between 6 and 12 months from now.

Yep, I'm about to buy rollers for that very reason.

BUT...

It's a beautiful day in Austin, 85 and clear blue skies, breeze blowing. My mom is in town helping with the girls, so I got away for a 30 mile loop.

Everything is better now.
