Super lightweight shoe windblockers
Any recommendations? Doesn't have to insulate completely; it needs to repel wind. Another requirement is they would fit in a single jersey pocket, or a small pocket mounted at the bottom of the seat (think Assos arm and leg warmers form factor). I have large neoprene shoe covers, but not what I'm pursuing...since cycling shoes are all made out of mesh, occasional windproof insulation can come in quite handy. I'm almost tempted to sew something together with nylon and such, (very similar to the showers pass or assos nanospray rain jacket, but only it covers your shoes, somewhat similar to the shoe covers worn in hospitals and labs), geared for descending from high altitude at very fast speeds.

Giordana Windtex shoe covers - https://www.competitivecyclist.com/ro...273.304.0.html
Haven't used them myself, but I hear from others that they are fantastic and I will be buying a pair soon in anticipation of next fall. (The sale price at CC is currently much lower than other, discount online retailers.)

So is it windproof? "
- The Slipstream shoe cover was developed for two purposes: to shield your feet from chilling cold and to create an aerodynamic advantage. Wear Slipstream shoe cover directly over your cycling shoes to feel greater comfort on cool days and to slice through the wind."

Both look promising, though the Giordiana looks a bit more "translucent"
