Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I do, because they suck compared to modern dual pivots.
I went with the boring black TRP 960s, and now have the best performing brakes made (and they are also pretty light. I'm a semi Weight Weenie, there are some things I just wont compromise on).

UMD seems to do alright, I think I'll trust his judgement.

I don't know UMD, but I'm happy for both of you.
I've done a little bit of riding myself.

The pads are inserts that slide into the shoes, so the colors wouldn't change.
