Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good Shorts for a tall skinny guy?

I have long legs, and would like a short that is cut a bit lower on my thighs. I've tried Pearl Izumi and they are too wide for me. I have some Sugoi which are OK. Any ideas as to shorts that are cut longer in the leg? I don't even try on bibs anymore, as the size medium I typically wear are not built for my 6'3" body. Anyone make a "tall" model?

My Voler bibs are fairly long...a couple inches above the knee. Could be worth checking out.

I have long legs, too. Canari works best for me.

I'm tall and skinny too (6'0" 140lbs) and Assos were the only ones that really fit me well. The Specialized bibs almost fit me but not quite as good. I also tried on Pearl, Castelli, and Ibex. The problem that I kept having was being in between sizes for most brands. I really wanted to like the Ibex wool bibs but they just didn't quite fit me.

If you're 6'3 wearing medium bibs.... I'd suggest you either:

1) Eat
2) Try a different size

I'm a tall skinny guy too and wear a size large in every bib I've ever worn. Don't just say, "I'm a size Medium in everything else so I wear a size medium bib." You're tall.... you're not a size medium. Cycling clothing is made for skinny lads such as us... take appropriate measures. And ALWAYS buy Capo Forma. They are the **** and nothing less.

I'm 6'1" and fit great in the large Giordana bibs. I also have a bib from Descente (also a large) that goes a little lower than the Giordana's and fits perfectly.

Have you tried a large lately?
