Canyon Ultimate AL.
Cervelo S1.

I considered the Cervelo before going with Cannondale.

Think the main advantage of the S1 is being aero, which isn't exactly something you can feel in a 30 minute test ride.

My little bro actually just got the Cervelo. Only thing he dislikes is the longish headtube on the 56.

Weird. I always assumed that the S1 would be almost unbearably stiff/harsh, though it is probably unfair to compare it to a pair of $7,000 bikes. :)

That's what I thought too but everyone on here said it was vertically stiff not laterally, and they were right. So I'm sure the vertical stiffness would become unbearable but you're not going to get it from lateral stiffness, that's for sure.

Meh, I'll take a stiff bottom bracket, over their aero any day.

Looking at their website, my understanding is that they are direct sales.

Yes they do ..but their support form my experience seemed a little weak for US customers ( or lack of concern I should say ). I really wanted that bike but after trying to contact them with ordering questions their lack of seeming to care about a sale or supporting it for a us customer , made me look else where. Again this was just my experience.

I decided on a Scott Speedster s60 that I picked up on clearance for under 600..then swapped all the components out. It is a hell of a bike ..
PS all speedster are the same frame , they just have different components on them.
