Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cox.net hasn't updated the Universal schedule yet so I plugged the RAI coverage into the DVD.

Universal Sports says on their website that coverage begins at 830 for the TT....However my "guide" on the TV doesn't list it...it's got some Cyclocross race at 9. WTF??

The WMV for QT plugin(s) is blowing up all browsers on my Mac. They're recommending Safari, but it's doing the same thing as Firefox.

I've had this problem before with Cycling.tv and fixed it by jacking around with browser plugins. Anybody on a Mac know the sure-fire fix?

Not on the Mac this morning, but I got it to work a couple of weeks ago by launching flip4mac and letting it run in the background then starting Firefox.

Seriusly. Amazingly piss-poor performance for a team who has stated that their #1 goal is to win the TTT.

BTW the quality of the feeds isn't HD, but we watched many an event at 5am (EST) on our 23" iMac in full screen mode, just about live, and the quality was very good.
How do you get full screen on a mac ?

Sadly, I cannot get the live stream to work. I've tried with two different browsers (IE7 and FireFox 3). In both, the first "intro" clip runs, but the live stream never starts.

Whoops...it's trying to start now, but very glitchy. Might be the network here at work (it's much more reliable at home).

Thank you for bringing the Giro to broadcast TV. Any chance you can show some of the other big European races, especially the TOUR DE FRANCE? Thanks.

You could get copies of the tapes sent by Canada Post. You might receive them by next years race.
