Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Train heavy and race light. A set of these has to weight 10,000 grams at least.

Oh yeah, that's just what I want on my bike for a 60 mph descent on a 15 lb racing bicycle in the Dolomites, a nice set of 950 gram Mavic R-Sys CF spoke wheels.

After I'm dead, my racing bike will be even lighter without a rider on it.

but the drag from those horrible spokes makes them slower than any other wheelset.

lolz now that's funny.

_you_ don't true them.

instead, _you_ take them to your LBS, who ships them off to France, and then _you_ wait 6-8 weeks.

then when they arrive back, _you_ pay the bill which amounts to more than the price of nice set of wheels.

i am comparing them to other wheelsets. Nothing to do with "the engine". The wheels are a horrible design in more ways then one.

dumbest wheels ever...

-will probably explode
-has so much drag that it negates any weight benefit
-can't true easily, and must be sent away to be trued while you wait for 8 years

but they look nice! lol

They don't need to be trued, because you can't true something like this:

Any image of R-SYS wheels should have the following caption:

"Closed course. Professional Rider. Do not Attempt."
