Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Michelin® Megamium Road Tire

I currently restoring a bike and would like some red tires to go with it. What do you guys think? I live in NY and i bike about 10min to a bike trail at Brooklyn. Are the grips good and is it easy to get puncture through it?

Thanks in advance.

I've been running them for about 3,000 miles now. I ran over a piece of glass in the rain and although the tire was slit, it never flatted. It even lasted for another 2,000 miles before I finally replaced it.

I'm still running the same front tire, but the back was replaced at about 2,000 miles. When I got the slit in the rear tire, it was 3 days old.

Have you tried the prospect park loop?
Shore road is really narrow at places and littered with trash and it gets crowded sometimes. I just went to marine park with my gf this weekend and it seems really small and crowded too. The runways are kind of fun in the floyd bennet field airport.

You might want to look into some specialized tires too, especially if you're going to be going around shoreroad a lot.
