Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

SRAM on the TDF podium

For those wondering if they should make the SRAM leap or not, consider that everyone on the TDF final podium was riding a bike outfitted with SRAM. The best team (Astana) used SRAM. Yes, that clicky, noisy SRAM.

Bikes: Calfee Tandem, Litespeed Gravel, SuperSix Evo HM, Larry vs. Harry Bullitt (e-cargo)

A. Schleck beat LA because his hoods weren't at some ridiculous jacked up angle.

LA must not read BF.

The whole strategy was to drive the other riders crazy with the frickin noise.

I made the leap before there was "make the leap", just saying. I still refuse to go with white hoods though...

Lance may be like unto a god among cyclists, but he falls tragically short in the Euro Style department.

Of course, naysayers will point that he's f**king Lance Armstrong, and therefore is above such concerns, but WTF do they know? A. Schleck has Euro Style out the yin yang, and who got 2nd place, huh? Hint: it wasn't Lance. Coincidence?

I also still refuse to go with mid-length, black socks...

They had over 1 billieeon dollars in sales last year! So what do you (Oakley) do to celebrate? Throw a party, buy a Russian surplus APC tank and smash up a trailer and car.
