I think that all pedals are pretty much the same once you're clipped in. If you want more or less float all the manufacturers can do it.
I'll put in a plug for Time RXS. They are not the easiest to clip into, though, so I've recently tried and rejected Dura-Ace and Keo Sprint and am back on the RXS's again.
The Shimanos are definitely easier than Times to clip in. BUT - they are lethal if you happen to miss clipping in. You need to put some downwards force on the pedal to clip in, but if you do, and you're not properly aligned and fail to clip in, then they are as slippery as ice and your foot will slide off the pedal.
If you fail to clip into the Times, you can safely pedal a whole crank revolution to have another try, without much danger of your foot slipping off.
The Looks were no easier to clip into than the Times, and have much of the same foot slipping problem as the Shimanos.
Of course none of this matters if you're racing, and you can argue that road pedals aren't really designed for general purpose and commuting anyway.

I ended up going with the Looks. Mainly because I didn't want to deal with the speedplay cleats, and it came down to the shimano 105/look keo classic. I more or less flipped a coin, but I figured the more matte finish on the keos would scratch less.

The Light Actions are almost effortless in my opinion. Enough that I was worried about accidentally clipping out while standing (although I never did). The Zeros are also pretty easy to release, but not like the Light Actions.
