Those are some of most hideous machines I've ever seen

Rosso Corsa 08-11-09 08:09 PM

what is it about the P4 that makes it look like a milk truck?

I own two Cervelos, and that one just looks ugly to me, both in pictures and in person.

But would that bike look as cool without that ridiculous seat to bars drop up front? That would KILL me, and I ride a TT bike myself! Anyone who could ride that bike for more than an hour without feeling the agony of the back is built for TTs!

You like paint jobs, I like speed. To each his own.

Ware 08-11-09 08:47 PM

To be fair, weren't we talking about aesthetics? ;)

There are some fairly ugly looking (aesthetically) frames that are quite aerodynamic...

The beauty of TT bikes is best judged by a clock is all. They're not "pretty" bikes in general but they do their intended job well.

And some might say the P4 is a prime example... :D

I kinda thought so, and then I saw one up close. It's one of the few "pretty" TT bikes out there, I think...

logdrum 08-11-09 09:34 PM

I like the Fuji and the Isaac not bad either although BMC seems to think of everything even the pedals.

I like that they hide the front brake as well. I see Fuji did it too.

Only bummer is that apparently it's less aero than having the brake in front...

I'm guessing it's different for every frame/fork. There's no doubt they spent a good amount of time in the tunnel, and probably optimized the fork/brake combo for that set up. Blades look fatter than on the others.
