Just fell in love

I'm a roadie. I've been a roadie for 4 years now going from a Devinci Imola to a BMC SLC01 Promachine and now I need something for the time trials in the stage races. I've been hesitating between the Cervélo P3 Carbon and Specialized Transition. A friend of mine made me discover Isaac road bikes the other day, he bought the Impulse on eBay for $1,400 and now since I need a TT bike I just can't get my eyes off the Joule Aerotic geometry. Just simple and efficient with ultra high density modulus carbon. What do you guys think about that machine? |

According to our resident TT bad arse and newly crowned Texas State Champion the wind tunnel numbers were so so on this frame. I was looking at one earlier in the year too. The hot ticket money no object bike is the Ridley Dean...a close second and not as expensive is the Jamis Xenith TT.

Wait until the new Felts are out. Some are in stores now, and the catalog should be out early September. But then again this could just be my own lust talking :)

Pretty much out of business but they are still honoring warranty through another party. They were made by Martec which make many a high end CF, but my Isaac is no better a frame than a Pedal Force or my Mongoose. Different ride qualities, but not "better". If you can snag one on deep sale, they are worth it but I was proactive enough to have them ship me an extra derailleur hanger, headset and expander plug before closing up shop. |
