Making roller and/or trainer??

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Making roller and/or trainer??

Has anyone ever made their own rollers or trainer? Im the do it yourself kind of person and they seem like one of the easier things to make. I know it would probably be easier and cheaper to just buy off of craigslist, but making it yourself is 10x more fun.

From: Sagamore Hills, Ohio.

Bikes: Trek 1500

Rollers would be pretty easy to make.

yea ive been thinking of an adjustable design using metal pipes and skateboard bearings.

Only thing with a trainer is idk how to get the resistance
