Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Didn't know Shimano STI levers nameplates can be purchased

Crashed my bike and scratched the 105 STI lever name plate. Did an internet search and found a ton of places offer the replacement plates for under $10 (e.g. Amazon.com; $17.6 for both left & right plates incl. shipping). Problem solved.

As I was looking, I noticed the Ultegra and the 105 nameplates are very similar. Anyone who has first-hand experience to verify if they are interchangeable?

nice, I need to replace mine from a little crash as well...but I don't think mine look like that...they are plastic and have cracked in little pieces...

Probably the same. But are you really that vain?

I broke one on my 9 spd Dura Ace, never bothered replacing it. I definitely woudn't replace it with something different from my actual shifter, but whatever.

9sp aren't all the same, and the Dura-Ace ones are very different

Ahh so thats how I facelift my tiagra shifters, like a placebo for shifting, "I think it shifts better, I mean it feels like it I think... I mean it says durace now"

Nup, it's a 9sp one, but I don't know if they're the same as the 10sp 105s
