305? 705? What to do? What to do?
My Garmin 305 just died after a year and a half.
From all I've read, it doesn't come as a surprise.
Fortunately, I bought it at REI and I'm a member so they took it back on exchange, no questions asked.
I love REI
I liked my 305 and I can't bear the thought of life without a computer
I'm lucky enough to still be employed and I figure to stay that way.
I do have some money to burn
So... stick with the 305? Or is it worth the extra bucks to upgrade to the 705?
As luck would have it, they're both on sale right now.

I love my 705, but the only feature that I use that the 305 doesn't have is the map feature. So if you don't care about that or tracking your power output, stick with the 305.

Prices on the 305 have come way down in the last year. I think the price is around $150 on amazon right now. Hard to justify the 705 unless you get lost a lot and really need the maps.

or use it as a head unit for a power meter.
