front derailleur replacement time?
I have a Campy Record Ti/Carbon FD and the part that screws to the derailleur cage (furthest back) snapped loose from the. I loosened the screw and snapped the carbon side back into the slot, but now it is more "audible" when shifting to the big ring. See image for the location (circled in red). If I epoxy this piece should I be okay, or should I get a replacement FD? Campy parts aren't cheap and was wondering a few things about FDs:
Any bottom pull Campy 9/10 speed FD should work for me? Can I use a SRAM/Shimano FD in the front instead, or would there be issues with ergo levers? http://imgur.com/V9bEk.jpg |
I've been using a Dura-Ace with my '06 Chorus shifters ... works like a charm.

Maybe I'll try this SRAM Rival gear that everyone is talking about. |
