Mavic for sale
Anyone want to buy Mavic, as in the whole company? The owner wants to dump it. No idea what the price would be.

Balance sheet has got to look bad, what with the potential of a lot of R-Sys lawsuits on the liability side. I'd trade them a pair of Aksiums for the keys to the company.

UH Scott? relax I do not think he actually owns Mavic and is selling it he is just posting the news.
I figure Shimano will buy it they will simply take over the bicycle world as we know it.
it appears from the press release that the 'parent' company is no longer getting fat off cyclist and no longer has use for us.

I suspect Dorel will pick them up, so we can see R-SYS equipped Mongoose Pavers at walmart.

"In a press release issued by Amer Sports, and released on the Helsinki stock exchange, the Finnish company said it was considering strategic alternatives to focus its business portfolio on categories where the best group-wide synergies can be achieved."

It may also be that they don't make a ton of money through OEM sales, and who really walks into an LBS and buys a set of Mavics anymore? Lots of competition out there, lots of online options too.

Srsly, I think Mavic has tanked because no one really understands how to pronounce the company name.
