Got the Performance Travel Trac Alloy for $118.78 shipped with their current 20% off online orders of house brands plus 628 as a promo code. Heckuva deal I think.
Sale only on until 10pm (EST I assume) today...hurry hurry.

I'm debating with myself on buying those rollers (Thanks botto). For only 100 bucks, it's a damn nice set of rollers. Who needs a resistance unit when you have a towel or t-shirt (or something similar to rub against the rear roller).
Being in the hilly Minnesota environment near winter time is definitely enough encouragement to buy it... But can I justify it after just buying 100 dollars worth of jersey/shorts and a new full CF road bike? Hmmmm...
The Mrs. just LOVES that I got into cycling....

Since there is very very little frictive movement between the rubber and smooth aluminum/PVC (depending on roller) then there is pretty much no wear at all. Plus, the one that pretty much stole this thread linked by Botto is a free motion roller, no resistance at all.

The resistance and wear is related to the tire deformation. air pressure has a huge effect here

Welcome!
Yep, I ordered yesterday right before I posted, got the shipping confirmation about 2 hours ago...they're already on their way! Not bad.
Actually, thank botto. Without his post I wouldn't have gone to Performance to look, I signed up for their e-mail list while I was there, and the first e-mail from them was the 20% off house brands. Funny how things fall into place eh?

I didn't make the movie but maybe it's good cose i have blue eye after my first ride on the rollers ;/ now i am riding with my helmet on. It is much harder then on the road - the feeling is different somehow i have to put much more effort into pedaling.
I have one question why to i hump on the bike on the rollers it is kinda in going up and down as if i push the pedals down is my stroke that bad or should i get more pressure into tires?

Tires should be pressurized between the min and the max on the side of the tire. Maybe you don't have it sized right to your bike? The front tire roller should be directly underneath the tire, not fore/aft of the tire.
Is this a resistance roller or are you using anything to create resistance? That could also be messin' you up.

No i have non resistance roller but it seam to pedal on them that is harder then on the road, and it is sized correctly for a bike. Tires should be ok with the bike since bike have those tires at default.

OP -- it may SEEM harder as you are stressed about falling off the edge. I know that was my problem for a very long time with my rollers.
Those around the MSP area -- we should definitely get together! I'm in River Falls, but going to the cities is not an issue.
