A True Fred....

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

But, but, but... he also claims "pro cyclist" and "bicycle racing team owner" among his creds based on what he was posting over on Weight Weenies (I know, I know).

I'm pretty sure that being a mid-level Cat 3 doesn't exactly qualify you as a "pro" anything.

Great entertainment, though!

I'm more impressed by the 56T chainring. If that works for a guy that's out of shape, he must be something else when he's in shape. I'm not sure I'd put zero gravity brakes on a Fuji

Quite a turnaround from the full disc front and rear setups of the 80's. Or maybe they don't have much wind in Colorado.

I don't understand all this elitist hate. Who cares about his tri-spokes, 56t ring, carbon this carbon that. If that what it takes for him to be out riding, so be it.

You're taking this too seriously. Kind of like the guy we're poking fun at right now.

Honestly, it's probably 10% wind tunnel testing, 90% sponsor demands and marketing.

Bikes: A little of everything

I'd make fun of the bike, but honestly, I'd ride it, and probably not half as well as he does.

The video makes me glad I pirate my porn, however.

i'm sure you can ride better than him, he couldn't keep up with me on the climb over the hill and i had only been riding a week after having been off the bike for almost two months with a fractured pelvis from a hit and run in the very spot we were riding

Although I doubt Mike has claimed to be part of a National Championship team. He just bought one.

This guy's a hoot. Did you invite him to BF?

Maybe he had another type of "riding" in mind.

I can just hear this guy talking to his bike on a long ascent:

"You like how I ride you, baby?"
"Oooh, that's nice."
"Come on, show Daddy what you got."
"Giddy-up, beach."

And what's so weird about three-way wheels for a porn star, anyway?

wouldn't it be funny if someone contacts him to tell him that BF members are making fun of him. he should have the opportunity to retaliate at all the weenies here.

For a pro who is a team owner, he seems to be very sportsmanlike. If I was a pro or team owner, I imagine I'd wear my own team's kit rather than that of the competition

^^The salient post IMO

Jack’s PSA demonstrating that cycling does not hurt his job performance is an inspiration for all male cyclists not to worry about hard rides over 4 hours

Hell, until I viewed Jack's PSA all I had was 4 old dudes in bike helmets worried about bladder problems
