Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Poll: Your Choice of Material on your Road Frame

Doing a poll just curious is to what preference of choice material on road your frame? Please be civilized and just vote for the material of your choice! We don’t want turn this into a big debate or a certain material war or so. There is no need to say why you think one material is better than the others. This is just a survey of choice and preference of material for your road frames.

My 2008 Jamis Quest is 631 steel. I like it a whole lot, but I don't have a lot of basis for comparison in road frame materials, nor do I necessarily care that much as long as it's comfortable.

Edit: I guess my Bridgestone RB-T is a road frame too... it's Columbus EX 4130.

That's because it's not a frame material, it's a way of making a carbon fiber frame.

If we're gonna put that, you should put "tube to tube" and "lugged" and "hydroformed".

The question is, why did you think it was a material? What kind of material did you suppose it was?

It doesn't matter what you spend, it's what you like or prefer. Just seeing what is the preference in today’s road bikes.
