I have been using my Lake Cx165's (low end road) with SPD's for about 200 miles now. I actually, really like the way they feel clipped in. I haven't been as hot has my old shoes and I like the fact that they are 3 easy velcro's and no laces for the 60 or whatever I paid for them. I don't like the way they feel, just walking around however. I am used to my Lake Commencal MTB shoes so the cleats are inset a bit.
