Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

News Flash! Ti bike depletes checking account!

I decided on a Lynskey R330, with 2010 Force group, 3T stem and handlebars, Fizik Arione saddle, Speedplay Stainless Zero pedals, and Mavic Ksyrium Elites shod with Continental 4000S tires. Received my bike two weeks ago, and got two rides in before the weather turned nasty. Here's a few shots on the Mount Vernon bike trail (just outside DC).

What good is a titanium bike if you don't have the polished metal bling finish? Nice ride.

Sweet ride, although riding over that cornered TT would make me nervous

The chainstays and seat stays have the requisite metal finish. But, obviously, I like the painted look better!

congrats on the sweet bike. Don't worry about your checking account, it'll recover soon enough.

Nice rig. I have to say I'd forgo any paint whatsoever, but then again I'm a function-over-form kinda guy.

That some sweet ride! I like that it doen't have the "look at me, I'm titanium!" thing going on. Not that there's anything wrong with that

I dig the balance of Black/White/Red. Very sweet ride you got there. That it should be for whatever I am sure you spent on it. Ride it often, let it be seen.

I like my brushed finish better.....but hey - an R330 is an R330. I love mine as you do I'm sure.

The bike looks pretty but a little embarrassed to be photographed on the Mt. Vernon trail instead of its native environment: The Open Road.

With temps near 70 on Saturday, we expect to see some new pictures of the Lynskey by the end of the weekend with nothing but pavement, double yellow lines and grand vistas.

Nice!! I like the paint. I'm old school, paint makes me happy. I didn't realize you could paint Ti, I always heard that paint and decals were not very durable because of the hardness of Titanium?

ahh, don't be embarrased about the Mt Vernon Trail. With the drivers they have in D.C. you are being smart. I will to look for you on the trail. Weather permitting, I plan to be on it Saturday or Sunday. Will start from Mt Vernon and go into D.C. I will have my lights with me too.
Very nice bike. Hope to see it.

It's funny, I was just looking around at Ti frames today and I was thinking that I would love to build up an R330 frame with Force. I think that's how I'm going to do my next bike.

I applaud your taste.
