Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I saw those and bought them, but when the wheels arrived they were tubulars not clinchers.

The box says DV3K-C, but they are tubulars inside the box.

I emailed Bonktown and they said they were out of the clinchers and could not exchange the incorrect tubulars for the correct item ordered (clinchers).

Did anyone else have this problem?

I'll buy the tubulars from you if you don't want them.

Thanks for the offer, but Bonktown is sending me a return label to send them back and will credit my CC.

I think you will be better of keeping you eye on the Bonktown site for the tubulars to come up again, as I have seen them go for $900-$1000. So you could get them cheeper, and you will be the original owner, with the warranty benefits. You also have the benefits of buying from a merchant with a credit card which gives you some protection if things go wrong.

It appears none of the three sold... which leads one to believe that they might be listed again next Monday (11/16) judging by the two available data points. 11/2 at 10:40am, 11/9 at 2:30pm.

Colorado cyclist has Campy free hubs for them for like $50. Don't let that stop you.

Edit: Ooops looks like they raised the price since looked last... it's like $100 now. But I've seen it elsewhere for less.
