I am new at road cycling, just started in August and I am still learning things. Maintenance is among them. I am cleaning and lubing my drivetrain myself by following videos and articles. Just did it last night and want to share with you. Is it clean enough?

Geez...that's freaking showroom condition compared to mine, which gets a once weekly rag over with fresh lube and whatever dirt comes off when wiping off excess oil...

Nice job, but you should first ride the bike before cleaning it. Just curious, do you think it is possible to make ti any cleaner than it is? Were you uncertain and just needed some validation?

You better take that derailleur off and clean behind it, I see some dirt in there.
In all seriousness you did a good job but you need to get it dirty again and it doesn't need to be that clean although it does make it look pretty for the "schillness" aspect.

i hope this thread was meant to be funny. despite what you hear, it is not necessary to have a drive train even close to that clean. enjoy riding it.

Needs a run through a vapor degreaser followed by an ultrasonic wash and rinse cycle. I see some discoloration by the B screw.

Yeah that's clean enough. I am fanatical about keeping my drivetrain clean and if you do it regularly it's not hard to keep it that clean. I put thousands of miles on my bike and my drivetrain is extremely clean. I clean mine usually every 2 weeks. The guys on my team tease me about how clean my bike is and my wife says I am a freak about cleaning it but a clean bike is a happy bike!

I'm confused by your spoke lacing-it appears that the drive side is radially laced
and the non drive side is 2x? Usually it's the other way around or maybe I'm just seeing optical illusions in the photograph.
