New rim suggestions needed for rebuild.
Had a crash in a crit Saturday and my PT wheel has seen better days. I need to rebuild my PT Hub. DT swiss 585? Velocity? My PT is a 32 hole. Thanks in advance.

We need more details: your weight, the intended use of the wheel, any features you prefer, etc.

My weight ranges from 170 to 180 depending on the time of year. I'm a TTer, power guy. I plan to train and race, (Crit and road) on the wheel just like I've been doing with the old one. Old one is a 32 hole Mavic open pro. Always felt kind of weak. It was an out of the box PT build so I'm not sure what the spokes are. Thanks guys.

If you felt the Open Pro was weak, the RR 585 or Deep V would be good choices. I don't have any experience with the RR 585, but the Deep V's make some very solid feeling wheels.
I'm surprised a 170-180 lb guy finds a 32 spoke Open Pro to be weak, but I am not a "power guy".

I'm not sure weak is the right word. Flimsy? Compared to my Mavic sl's and my Hed Alps anyway. In turns and when standing to sprint it just felt odd. I bought the 32 hold PT and open pro from all the good words I've heard about them. ... Oh well. Thanks for the advice. I'm looking at the a23 from velocity now too. They sound like the ride nice.

Kinlin xr300 would be a good choice also. I am a bit heavier than you and have a Psimet built 32 spoke PT xr300 that is holding up nicely.
