Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

saddle life

I did a search, but there are all kinds of threads on saddles. So I'll have to ask the question that may have been posted before. I have a Fizik Aliante on one of my bikes now and I love it. I can get a new one on sale for $75. I'm wondering what the life of the saddle is. I ride about 5000 a year.

aliante's don't last that long. i've noticed that one season renders them soft and bouncy - not what i want in a saddle.

that's why i stopped with them.

Thanks botto, I was really hoping they would last longer, so I wouldn't have to use another Brooks Swift. Not that there anything wrong with the Swift. I just wanted something a little lighter.
