So on the Park Ridge today, I turned to Rick after he and I led the bunch up the pathetic 500 meter 3-4% grade 'hill' on the course and said:

'Hey Rick, our torrid pacemaking on the climb was pointless.

Alphonse is still here.'

Pcad,

When pcadette's friends see you in lycra, do they giggle?

They're far too terrified of me.

Ziltoid 07-24-10 07:56 PM

Terrified of you? Do you look that fat in lycra? I mean I know you look fat, but... really that fat?

Something like that.

They see me when I'm going off on Pcaddette once in a while. She can really piss me off. She's 16. That's her job.

Scary.

What does pcadette's best friend think of you?

Ziltoid 07-24-10 07:59 PM

I blame you to when I look at my weight.

I assume most people (especially kids) view cyclists who ride thousands of miles a year as being somewhat disturbed. Here crazy is a virtue; in the real world, not so much.

Now I want to look prepubescent.

I'm pretty sure there is a crotch shaver that frequents this thread that could help you with that.

Ziltoid 07-24-10 08:04 PM

It's because we are disturbed.

What's the plan to scare off young suitors?

A cyclist physique may not be the sort of fear inducing look one would want for that, but batcrap crazy and a collection of rare weapons might work.

Do I get bonus points if I hook up with Pcadette?

I kid. I kid.

Ziltoid 07-24-10 08:10 PM

Sure do, after what he'll do to you you won't be able to ride so if we're lucky enough you'll get off BF...

Tulex 07-24-10 08:11 PM

Hey Gomer, did you really not finish school?

sbxx1985 07-24-10 08:15 PM

I've concluded that I prefer kilometers to miles. Seems like a much more distinguished way to calculate distance. The Aussie Road Champion told us her mileage in kilometers today. With the accent, it was perfect.

Ziltoid 07-24-10 08:16 PM

I always used Km over miles, I'm a crappy Canadian cyclist.

It's nice, because when someone asks how far you went, you can just say 100, and they have no idea that you went 62 miles. We should check pCad's puter.

I hang out here. That undeniably establishes my illiteracy credentials.
