Yeah, but do you have video?

Getting stung by a bee sucks. My daughter was on a roller coaster with me a few years back. One of the ones that has the bars that come down over your shoulders and kind of pins you in. A bee went up her shorts right before the ride started and stung her on the thigh. Talk about feeling sick. Nothing either of us could do, just had to finish the ride.

Of the bee sting? Sadly, no.

That's just too bad. Would have made for a good parody thread.

"Reason to wear a bee keeper's outfit."

I just watched that video 4x times.

Once was enough for me.

I was descending really fast with my jersey open and the stupid bee flew in there. Seconds later, yeeouch! I slapped against it and kept going. At the next stop I unzipped to let the dead bee out. When it happened I still had some 15 miles to go with that annoying burn on my chest. It still hurts. F'ing bee.

So, were you wearing a baselayer Kidd?

Funny you should mention bee keepers outfit. Less than a mile from my house I passed a guy in full bee keepers outfit doing something next to his truck. I don't believe I've ever seen anyone wearing a bee keepers outfit along a road my entire life. The day I get stung by a bee is the day I see one! Spooky.

Story is that it was during a sprint (up ahead), and the guy who appeared out of nowhere was the leadout falling back.

My chest hurts from a bee sting.

Anyone else have something sore to complain about? Bike related preferably, but not necessary.

My bike itself is still messed up.

All I have to say about that crash is that the guy he ran into was visible, holding the same line, a full 7 seconds before it happened.

Well, I have an intermittent pain in the ball of my left foot. It's sometimes annoying when I ride (or walk for that matter).

I read about that. What I got from your account is that corrosion can be found anywhere and everywhere on a bike. Especially one ridden as much by the likes of us.

Is a girdle considered a base layer? I could kill two birds with one stone.....

Girdle? I don't need no stinking girdle! Perhaps you have me confused with some other tubby cyclist.

Hey pal, I said me, not you. Don't be stealing my idea.

Tulex 08-01-10 10:56 PM

Last year I rode to work many times. This year, not once. I think I realized getting out of bed was enough work in the morning.
