Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Same here. I liked it when I first got it, but 1500 miles later it seems a bit broken down in the middle, and I'm getting numbing in the drops that never happened before. I just ordered a Toupe, so we'll see how that goes.

I'm a big fan of the San Marco Regal. It's a real classic. It's firm, fairly wide at the back, narrow at the nose, and damn good looking, in my opinion.

One thing about a saddle, save and old one and put it on your bike when (if) you sell it. Then put your $200
saddle on you new bike. The comfort (saddle) is transferable)

Now you post this. Where were you last year when I sold my cheap first bike with the seat I finally found to be comfortable after trying half a dozen different ones?
For some reason I figured that since my new bike came with a much higher priced saddle, it would have to be better. I sure do miss that selle italia I found on closeout for $50 last year.
