My bike came with white bar tape and I've never felt motivated enough to change it regardless of it looking dirty.
I might go with black or red tape the next go-around if i change the saddle, if not, it's staying white. |

I do like a clean drivetrain however. A dirty well-used bike with a clean drive train is the typical look of my bike. My favorite feature is dead bugs on the head tube (a result of my massive top speed). the entire bike does get cleaned every so often when I ride in the rain. |

My white tape stays pretty white without any cleaning, and does clean very easily. Fizik Microtex FTW.

Bah. If I'm ever choosing bar tape, it's black unless red goes with the bike (or brown to match a leather saddle). Mine came with white, and it's very dirty. It annoys me, but not enough to clean or rewrap. I'd never want white on a bike I meant to ride a lot.
