Does removing Logos and brands from bikes decrease resale value?

Does removing Logos and brands from bikes decrease resale value?
I did it anyways but now that I think about it it I'm probably gonna get less for the bike if I ever plan on selling it compared to leaving the Logos on...any one of you guys noticed anything when selling a bike? less buyers without logos/ compared to with logos?

Depends on why you took the logo off - if it was a crappy brand, and the bike looks better w/no logos, take it off. It's your bike.
Just in case you think someone might doubt your word on the brand of the bike, would be useful to have "before" photos as proof. In your case, might be too late...

Well it's a gary Fisher bike. I like the clean look...well too late to look back now, I'm happier not seeing Gary's name all over the bike...The bike still has serial number on the bottom anyways to prove that its real, but i guess people always find something against you to get a better deal when selling.

This bike screams Fred. Not that the logos would have helped you with that. Ride it into the ground and screw resale value.

The answer to your question is maybe. I have passed up ads for bikes because they did not have the stickers on them and I wondered if they weren't fakes. For some reason, people like painting generic steel frames celeste and calling them a Bianchi when they sell them. So, I imagine many people out there would worry the bike is a fake and wouldn't bid/offer/buy.

I bought some Easton wheels that had had the rims debadged. But, the hubs were legit, the rims themselves were legit, etc etc -- bought them from a bike shop employee (who also gave me a Red cassette for cheap and four different freehub bodies), so I knew they were the real deal.
