Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

LOL. I'll admit to having the ditty run through my head when I'm crushing a sprint WO. (Doesn't make me any faster, but sure feels like it!)

It was written by someone named Dan Zank in 05. I worked with Dan and his brother in Connecticut when he was still in school, really good guy, very upbeat person and extremely talented.

OK. Didn't really look at them, just scrolled to the music at the bottom. Their description is pretty grandiose now that you mention it.

Can't find it on iTunes or Google. Dan Zank is quite talented, though...

Apocalyptica are really great guys, I met them some years back. Basically the band started off as 4 guys attending Sibelius Academy (Finland's version of Julliard, possibly more prestigious do to even more limited selection), studying to be concert cellists. Instead they ended up doing cover songs of Metallica using their cellos. Some time back they added a drummer and alternated through singers, but what did them in was their PR crew. They cut their hair and made them more mainstream, which has done wonders for their record sales, but also makes them look bad. I recommend looking back through some of their old stuff on youtube, these guys will make your eyes pop out of your head, especially if you have every played a stringed instrument.

They may look like d-bags, but their Metallica covers are incredible.
