Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

By ElJamoquio. You should read it too.

If you haven't read 'A Dog in A Hat' you should really read that first. Buy them both right now. And while you're there, buy

ElJamoquio has spoken.

Dog in a hat is outstanding. Is Come and Gone as good?

Been tempted to read it. I've read nearly every bike-themed book out there.

Have you read 10 Points by Bill Strictland?

I didn't like it QUITE as much, but if you loved A Dog in a Hat you'll like Come and Gone. It didn't resonate quite as much, to me, because it wasn't talking about Belgium and Paris-Roubaix - it was talking about Thrift Drug and NORBA. Which are still good.

You can definitely tell it's the same author.

Dog in a Hat is definitely better, but it is still good. Dog in a Hat is much more revealing. Like he is moving the curtain aside to show you the wizard. Come and Gone, is more of just a chronicling. "Then I did this race. Then I did that race. Then I joined this team."
It is still very entertaining, especially if you like bikes...

GirlAnachronism actually sent me hers for free. She didn't like it, but I enjoyed it.

For those looking for something else, I can recommend two awesome books that I've read recently.

1. Where Men Win Glory
2. Lone Survivor
3. 10 Points
4. Patrick Swayze Autobiography (Yes, I read it. Yes, I have a man-crush on PS. Yes, it was a great book. Carry on.)

Bikes: Giant Defy 2

No Kindle edition, and no chance of finding either of these in Denmark
