Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Speed numbers are correct, power is all over the place because you go from coasting to 300+ watts and back to coasting.

I was impressed at how smooth the paceline was, it was the smoothest one I've ever ridden in. My theory is that is was so fast, it weeds out people that don't have the engine/handling skills.
I was just about to comment first video looks like its downhill the whole way. With that many guys rotating ,30 mph should be pretty much the norm . Everyone is fast when things are flat .

I know this has probably been asked before, but I couldn't find the info: can you put the dials on your video if you have an Android phone with GPS and a Strava account?

It seems like you should be able to. You'd have to use mytracks or maybe export the gpx from Strava.

I really like the graphics showing the speed etc. in your video. How did you do that, if I may ask?

I tried it and didn't like it. Instead of the bumpiness of my hand, they make the images wavy.
I'm glad they give you the option of going back to the original.

Curious, why is the camera tilted to the side the whole time?

freight-I hope your friend didnt mind you putting up her vid, it really did make me laugh out loud--"If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. If you have no more gears, you are ******" "Grrrrrrrrrrr" It was all really funny and Im sure many of us sound like dorks on climbs as well, so while I laughed a lot, it was all in a good natured way. You can tell her that.

I was just out doing some climbing, but it was 1c and then about 0c, so I had many more layers on than you guys and gals. In any case, those climbs sure look like doozies.

cheers

That's ok, this is a good one. Plus, with gopro's more accessible these day, we should see some more vids popping up.

If I see something interesting off to the side, all I have to do is look at it to get footage. The handlebar mount doesn't allow that.
Does your helmet always end up crooked, or only when there's a camera (extra weight up above) mounted to it?

My 3-year old's helmet usually ends up crooked also, but mine doesn't. Maybe the helmet itself is a bit too large for you despite the adjustments?
