mileage on tires

What are "they" saying about how long tires are supposed to last these days?

Worst tires I've ever owned. Ultremo Rs were about as non-durable, but they rode better.

Bikes: Time ADH01, Merlin Extra Light, Orbea Orca, Ritchey Outback,Tomac Revolver Mountain Bike, Cannondale Crit 3.0 now used for time trials.

3000 miles for a rear tires is good.
